Sure, we fell down all the time. Tina said she had never seen anybody fall like me because I was taught in dance that when you fall you ‘act’ like it’s part of the dance and you get up dancing. She said, ‘Girl, I saw you fall down on your butt and I saw that arm come up and you just kept moving,’ so she took that from me. If you ever see her fall down and you see that arm come up, know that’s from me! Falling is just inevitable when you’re a dancer and you just get up and keep dancing.

Ann recalls the evening when Turner realised she had the support of her peers for her solo efforts. It was quite a night.
